Quick product selector added and issues fixed

A quick product selector has been added to the Easy Auction homepage. This will allow you to get straight to the internet auctions or sale you’re after without the RSS feeds, extra information about the products and refined selection that accompanies the normal products section.

Some minor website issues have also been fixed:

- UK mobile phone page text read “cell phones”, which is of course an Americanism and the incorrect term for UK users

- Shoes and clothing section now correctly titled and description matches the section. The previous version of this page contained a strange mish-mash of the intended information as well as information from the watches and jewellery section

- iPod and electronics text links now correctly target a new page, rather than opening in existing window

Exciting Easy Auction updates

There have been several major updates to Easy Auction, including:

- New shoes and clothing section. This section is a little more extensive than other Easy Auction product sections, owing to the likely popularity and demand of the section. The UK section, for example, features the fabulous Littlewoods clearance store which sells fabulous high street shoes and clothing at massively discounted prices (up to 80% off). The importance of the World of Good section with respect to fairtrade, ecofriendly and responsible clothes shopping is also noted.

- The Easy Auction homepage has been updated to include an ‘easy auction promotions’ section just above the eBay auction news, in the right hand column. The current promotion is a $10 off at World of Good promotion which Easy Auction is currently running – the World of Good product page, contained in unusual products section has also been updated to reflect these changes.

- The World of Good page banner at the top now directs people to the $10 off offer than is mentioned. The bottom banner has been removed, and replaced with an excellent little widget which displays the current favourite products available at World of Good; it’s well worth a look!

- Several errors have been corrected on many pages of the website and several sections have been reworded. The Easy Auction homepage, for example, should be easier to read but also more informative.

- Several main pages on the website now include a nice little Christmas tree icon at the top to make the website look slightly festive

Product page issue fixed – event tickets

Just a quick note to let you know that a small error in the product page has been fixed. The event tickets section should now be working as normal.

Server updates this weekend

There may be some minor disruption to the Easy Auction website and blog this weekend, as the host servers are being updated. The good news is that after the updates have been completed, the website should be faster and more responsive than ever. The other good news is that the mobile phone (cell phone) product section is currently under development and should be released shortly.

Google issues fixed

Desktop computers – Easy Auction product

The long-awaited desktop computers section has now been completed. Here you can browse a wonderful selection of high-performance but low-priced desktop computers, with systems to suit everyone from office workers, to video enthusiasts and demanding gamers. As I mention in the desktop computers section – I have considerable experience building systems, so feel free to contact Easy Auction with a budget and usage in mind and I will recommend you some systems.

I have also fixed a few issues with the site, including refining the article titles and deleting accidental repition of the final paragraph in the coins and money section. I am currently working hard on the next Easy Auction product section, so watch this space!

Easy Auction HTML fixes complete

Just a quick message to let you know some good news -all Easy Auction pages have had their HTML fixed and all errors fixed. This should mean the pages load more efficiently and are liked more by Google and other search engines. It also means that I can get on with providing you some new content. As you’re aware, the Easy Auction product pages are not yet complete, so that will be the first port of call.

I hope you enjoy the changes and continue to support the future of internet auctions!

Quick PayPal update

Just a quick update – the wording used on several pages on Easy Auction has been changed so that users understand where Easy Auction stands regarding PayPal. As my “why trust eBay” article points out, avoiding using PayPal as a payment method is foolhardy and you stand to loose out! Whilst it is true that many transactions from trustworthy eBay sellers go down smoothly even if PayPal is not offered, it does exist for a reason!

I would like to reiterate – all products featured in the exotic and unusual products section are from carefully selected sellers; all of whom offer PayPal as a payment method. Although the vast majority of auctions and items featured on other Easy Auction product pages offer PayPal as a payment option, I can’t guarantee that all will.

So look out for the PayPal logo near any product you’re interested in and you can’t go wrong -

Unfortunately you can’t actually buy exotic pets on eBay as it is both illegal and unethical. If you already own a pet and want to enhance its quality of life, or simply want to learn about interesting and exotic pet species, then Last Trading Post is for you. Only UK Easy Auction customers can benefit from the store at the moment – but don’t think I’ve forgotten about my international Easy Auction customers either.

All Easy Auction product pages have been updated to make them more approchable to my valued Easy Auction customers from outside the UK or the US.

Easy Auction now more reader friendly

Just a quick update. I’ve reformatted Easy Auction to make it… Well… easier on the eyes. I have altered the text in bold so it is more meaningful and in context. I have also corrected some spelling and gramatical errors whilst I was at it. I hope you enjoy the changes .
