Internet auctions made easy
The Easy Auction sitemap is now complete. It can be accessed using the globe icon at the top of any page (except pages on the blog), and is regularly updated along with the website.
Hooray! Easy Auction’s product pages are now complete, including the new other products page. In addition to this, a few minor changes have been made to the exotic and unusual product pages; it is henceforth known only as the (slightly) more snappy unusual products section. I have also fixed the address for the World of Good promotion. The plan for Easy Auction over the next few weeks and months is as follows:
- Complete sitemap
- Refine and improve written content so it is more user-friendly
- Increase range of unusual products
- Create a simple navigation to allow users to select an RSS feed based on product category, and go straight to that feed
- Write some more articles, for example one on eBay tools which should prove useful to eBay users
I’m sure you will enjoy the changes, and I will keep you informed as they happen. Thank you for your continued support of Easy Auction.
If you’re looking for some stunning jewellery or a stylish watch for yourself or a loved one – look no further. Easy Auction has launched its spectacular watches and jewellery section, just in time for the Christmas rush! So if your other half is nagging you for that lovely shiney diamond ring but the price is making you sweat – click here NOW!
In addition to the watches and Jewellery section, the Easy Auction RSS feeds and navigation article has been updated with the new version. For some reason the article featured and uploaded to Easy Auction was the old version, with several mistakes and, ironically; a broken navigation.

There have been several major updates to Easy Auction, including:
- New shoes and clothing section. This section is a little more extensive than other Easy Auction product sections, owing to the likely popularity and demand of the section. The UK section, for example, features the fabulous Littlewoods clearance store which sells fabulous high street shoes and clothing at massively discounted prices (up to 80% off). The importance of the World of Good section with respect to fairtrade, ecofriendly and responsible clothes shopping is also noted.
- The Easy Auction homepage has been updated to include an ‘easy auction promotions’ section just above the eBay auction news, in the right hand column. The current promotion is a $10 off at World of Good promotion which Easy Auction is currently running – the World of Good product page, contained in unusual products section has also been updated to reflect these changes.
- The World of Good page banner at the top now directs people to the $10 off offer than is mentioned. The bottom banner has been removed, and replaced with an excellent little widget which displays the current favourite products available at World of Good; it’s well worth a look!
- Several errors have been corrected on many pages of the website and several sections have been reworded. The Easy Auction homepage, for example, should be easier to read but also more informative.
- Several main pages on the website now include a nice little Christmas tree icon at the top to make the website look slightly festive
Just a quick note to let you know that a small error in the product page has been fixed. The event tickets section should now be working as normal.
In these tough economics times, it’s easy to focus on working hard and earning money, buying only essentials such as food and paying bills. The most important thing in your life often gets neglected; you. That’s why Easy Auction brings you the fantastic new personal care products page. It is brimming with affordable ways to look after yourself both inside and out, including; make-up, health supplements, moisturising creams, perfumes, massage/armomatherapy oils and much much more.
So go on – stop neglecting yourself and treat yourself to some personal care products

In October, eBay launched a new “top rated sellers” initiative to try to highlight the crém de la crém to trustworthy sellers. I have updated the ‘why trust eBay’ article to reflect these changes and offer users more information about the eBay top rated sellers initiative.

What are they?
Mobile phones (commonly referred to as cell phones in the United States) are long-range handheld telecommunications devices. They are used not only for voice communication, like a standard landline, but can also communicate using video messaging, text messaging (SMS- short messaging service) and media messaging (MMS- multimedia messaging service) and emails. Modern mobile phones also offer additional functionality, including FM radio, GPS (global positioning system), the ability to play MP3s and videos, as well as supporting a range of games and applications.
How many are there?
There were over 4.1 billion handsets registered globally in 2008- a number which continues to rise as the range of handsets and cheap contract deals increases as mobile networks expand. Nearly everybody these days has one or more mobile telephones, and the increasing network coverage and availability of low-budget handsets has meant that they are not just restricted to the wealthy or indeed the first world.
What are smartphones?
Smartphones reach beyond the capabilities of a standard mobile phone and offer users PC-like functionality. They often run their own operating system, such as Google Android, Symbian OS, RIM BlackBerry, Linux, Palm OS or Microsoft Windows Mobile. Because of this, they often support similar (but somewhat cut-down) versions of programs you would expect to find as software on a computer. Modern smartphones such as the HTC Touch HD have Wi-Fi, a fully functional media player, web browser, office applications and video camera. In addition to this, they offer extensive storage space with additional space available through compact flash/SD/Micro SD etc. Some smartphones (such as the Touch HD) contain internal GPS receivers and support accurate positioning on programs such as Google Maps.
Where can I buy mobile phones and smart phones?
Well that’s where Easy Auction comes in. Our brand new mobile phone (cell phone) product section is home to a plethora of mobile handsets; from mundane text and voice machines to stunning smartphones such as the HTC Touch HD 2 and the Apple iPhone 3GS (pictured below). Because the range is so large, you are bound to snap up a bargain and get the phone of your dreams (or simply something functional) for a fraction of the high-street price.

There may be some minor disruption to the Easy Auction website and blog this weekend, as the host servers are being updated. The good news is that after the updates have been completed, the website should be faster and more responsive than ever. The other good news is that the mobile phone (cell phone) product section is currently under development and should be released shortly.
As promised, my latest Easy Auction product section on Laptop Computers is now online.
